Child Found In 'Deplorable' Home, Cape May Pair In Custody: Authorities

A man and woman from Woodbine are facing charges after authorities found a child in their care living in "deplorable conditions," officials said.

Wanda Storms, 64, and Kevin Storms, 35, are each charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced the charges on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

State troopers made the horrifying discovery at the Marcellaro Road home while performing a welfare check on Sunday, Jan. 21, they said.

Storms were arrested and released on a summons.
